You bring the idea. We’ll help make it happen.

Some of the best ideas come directly from our members. When they have an idea for making something happen, DPSOA and the DPS Troopers Foundation can help provide the infrastructure, resources and support to turn that idea into a successful event.

“Your event. Your vision. Your community. DPSOA and the DPS Trooper Foundation is behind you.”

Operational Infrastructure

More Than A Sponsor

Sometimes supporting an event means writing a check. But our members often need more than funding. DPSOA and the DPS Troopers Foundation can provide the tools, resources and behind-the-scenes support that help turn a good idea into a successful event.

You bring the idea and the purpose. We help with what happens behind the scenes.

From registration and reporting to vendors, communications and financial support, we can help provide the infrastructure that makes an event easier to organize and execute.

  • Event webpages and online registration
  • Payment processing
  • Digital waivers
  • Registration tracking and weekly reporting
  • Sponsorship and donation opportunities
  • Vendor connections and purchasing assistance
  • Preferred vendor pricing when available
  • Shirts, meals and awards
  • Branding and promotional materials
  • Social media support
  • Video storytelling
  • Event funding when appropriate

“You focus on creating a great event. We’ll help with the machinery behind it.”

Created by the Texas DPS West Texas Fitness and Wellness Unit, the Texas Strong Challenge brings two-person teams together for a competition testing physical fitness, endurance, mental toughness, strength and teamwork.

For the second consecutive year, DPSOA supported the event — and in 2026 expanded that support with dedicated online infrastructure.

We created the event landing and registration pages, processed registration funds, provided weekly participant reports, assisted with event purchases, connected organizers with resources and vendors, helped purchase participant shirts and provided promotional support.

When DPSOA members began planning the 1st Annual Eduardo Chavez 5K / 1 Mile Fun Run, they didn’t have to build the event infrastructure from scratch.

DPSOA created the landing and registration pages, processed payments, collected participant and shirt information, incorporated a digital waiver, managed registration and shirt deadlines, and provided organizers with regular participant reports.

With the administrative pieces in place, organizers could focus their attention where it belonged — on creating a meaningful event and bringing their community together.

The Trooper Kevin Ramirez-Vasquez Memorial Softball Tournament brought first responders together to honor Kevin’s life, service and sacrifice while extending his legacy of service into the surrounding community.

DPSOA and the DPS Troopers Foundation helped organizers expand the event beyond the softball field, providing online team registration, sponsorship and donation opportunities, donation tracking, branded event materials, vendor coordination, social media promotion and video support.

Teams were encouraged to bring school supplies or make a donation, with additional donations helping provide school supplies for area students.

What began as a member-led memorial event became another opportunity to serve the community Kevin dedicated his life to protecting.

Now in its sixth year, the Trooper Moises Sanchez 5K / 1 Mile Fun Run continues to bring people together in his memory while supporting a scholarship established in his name.

DPSOA and the DPS Troopers Foundation provided the digital and administrative infrastructure behind the event, including online registration, participant tracking, shirt information, event updates and reporting.

With the behind-the-scenes details handled, organizers could focus on what matters most — honoring Trooper Sanchez and carrying his legacy of service forward.

The Infrastructure Behind The Idea

Every one of these events started with a member and an idea.

Our role is to help remove the obstacles between that idea and a successful event — providing the tools, resources and behind-the-scenes support our members need to make it happen.

“Good ideas shouldn’t get lost in the logistics.”

That’s where we can help.

Partnership & Impact

Help Us Make More Good Ideas Possible

Our members have great ideas. Sometimes they just need the resources to make them happen.

Businesses, community partners and individual donors can help DPSOA and the DPS Troopers Foundation support member-led events across Texas. That support may help provide meals, awards, shirts, supplies, event expenses or other resources members need to bring their ideas to life.

Together, we can help more members turn good ideas into meaningful events.

Why it matters

Your support helps us say

Yes

When a member brings us an idea that can strengthen fellow Troopers, honor a legacy, support a community or make a difference for others.
